Jim commenced life in estate agency in 1982 at Brian Morton and Company, the largest estate agency in Northern Ireland at that time. His commitment and dedication to his clients was quickly recognised and he became one of youngest branch managers in the company. Halifax acquired the business in 1987 and Jim continued to thrive and his branch at Glengormley became the most profitable branch in the UK for several years.
In 2002 Jim opened McMillan Estate Agents which became the market leader very quickly. Over the years Jim has helped 1000's of clients sell their homes, developers sell and acquire land, negotiate road widening and compulsory purchase claims and a variety of other transactions.
The business is based on the core values of honesty, integrity and mutual respect together with delivering a high standard of customer care for each and every client. The firm has achieved the very best of reputations in the business with clients and other professionals and has also won many business awards.
In 2016 Barrie McClure was appointed a director and in 2021 Laura McMillan and Katrina Heaney were also appointed as directors based on their strong commitment and expertise. All 4 directors collectively benefit from 90 years' experience in the business!
The firm is now known as McMillan McClure and continues to underline the original core values. We continue to contribute hugely to many local charities and work experience programmes in our local area.

Following my Business and Information Management degree in Glasgow, I started my career with McMillan Estate Agents in 2002.
In 2016 I became a Director along with Jim McMillan and in 2022 extended that partnership further with a company name change to McMillan McClure. This was one of the proudest days of my career as I have worked tirelessly to ensure the success and reputation of the company throughout my time here.
Having grown up in Greenisland I am knowledgeable about the area in which I work, I am one of three experienced valuers in McMillan McClure, therefore I am very involved with every sale and comfortably supported with a team of 10.
Along with my main role as valuer and communicating regularly with my clients throughout the process, I manage the business and I am always looking ahead with technology and ideas so that we remain the market leader.
Working in this business for the last 20 years along with qualifying as an associate with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors ensures you are being looked after someone who is qualified, has the experience and with it being my own business I care.
I started at McMillan's in 2002 when the firm opened while I completed my final year at University of Ulster, Jordanstown. It was during this time I found my passion for estate agency and went on to complete a second degree in Property Studies at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
While working at McMillan McClure and studying I feel I gained both the theoretical and practical background of estate agency.
Over the last 20 years with the company I have gained a vast experience and have worked through all sectors of the business including rentals, property management, marketing, contract management, new homes and assisting with road widening cases.
I have been a Valuer at the company for over 15 years now and manage my own portfolio of clients right from the valuation stage through to completion. I pride myself in offering a first class service to all of my clients and work hard to achieve and exceed their expectations. Our company strives to provide first class customer service . This has always been our aim from day one and continues to be our main focus. This level of service has contributed hugely to the success we experience today.
I have lived in Glengormley all of my life and have built up a base of loyal clients as well as sourcing new clients to help both sell and find their dream homes. My clients are always my top priority.
I was delighted to become a Director in 2021 and welcomed the new challenge and additional responsibilities. Being an integral part of McMillan McClure from it was established is one of my biggest achievements and look forward to many years ahead.
I started in McMillan McClure in 2010 for work experience and became a permanent member of the team in 2011.

I have over 30 years' experience working in estate agency in Glengormley. Before joining the team at McMillan McClure, I was the Rental Manager at Reeds Rains, and before that Senior Valuer for Halifax Estate Agency, so I have built up a sound knowledge of the area and the estate agency business.
I also live locally with my family so know the schools, shopping and transport well - useful when I'm talking to clients about the general area.
Since joining McMillan McClure in 2014 my main role was in sales administration but in 2019, I took the leap and joined the Rental Team.
The busy environment of this industry has given me the opportunity to develop good knowledge of the local areas and learn new skills within both the sales and rental market.
Each day brings a different challenge and a new client which is great and we as a team strive to build a trusting relationship with all our clients. My role in Property Management can be quite challenging but I aim to keep a close and professional relationship with both our landlords and tenants and deliver the best service possible.

I started working at McMillan McClure in 2011 part time while still in school.
While studying Business and Marketing in University I continued to work each summer carrying out viewings, rental inspections and doing the day-to-day jobs required around the office.
In August 2017 I started working full time in the rental department of the business while also managing the marketing and social media presence of the company. Since 2019 I have been in the sales department which has allowed me to develop my skills as a sales negotiator and valuer.

I joined the McMillan McClure team in 2023, after receiving my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stranmillis University College I decided to make the switch from a childcare and teaching background to property management. I am part of the Rental Team and am enjoy working within the local community in the rental and sales market.
A motivated, hardworking marketing graduate from Ulster University. I started my estate agency career working with a local estate agency based in Carrickfergus predominantly providing sales services such as viewings, sales negotiations and developing experience in the valuations side of the business.

I attended Ballyclare High School Grammar before pursuing a career in sales whilst obtaining my business management qualification.
My career in estate agency began back in 2020 before making the move to full-time with an agent in Ballyclare in 2022. I joined the McMillan McClure team in 2024 and am enjoying the challenges and diversity that everyday brings.

Tazmin joined the McMillan McClure team on an administrative apprenticeship scheme. She attends weekly college classes to back up her in-house learning.

Gavin qualified as a pharmacist from Queen's University and practiced in pharmacy helping local communities for several years. He then had a change of heart and decided to join his Father's financial services company in 2011 where he still works today.
Gavin started as a mortgage and protection adviser attaining his CeMAP exams in a matter of weeks. However, his true passion was to become a holistic financial planner so he could help people in more aspects of financial advice. After achieving this goal by getting a level 4 diploma he then went on to pass his level 6 advanced diploma exams in 2021 attaining chartered status.
His specialist areas are investments, pensions, inheritance tax planning, trusts, corporate financial advice and business protection. He believes in strong ethics, always prioritising the customer's needs and treating everyone as an individual.
Following a long career in banking I trained as a domestic energy assessor in 2014 and obtained my accreditation later that year with Elmhurst energy.
I enjoy the challenge that changing technologies and government interventions bring to the role and look forward to working closely with McMillan McClure in the coming years.
